Role: Art Direction / Design / Prototype Development

In 2006, I was senior lead at AOL's design group where we created the Top 11 Countdown experience. This was a fast-paced "daily internet show" playing the most popular videos on the service. I played major roles in the original branding, art direction, prototype development and UX design. Below illustrates the program's first look at branding and design.

UX: Top 11 allowed users to interact with the show's elements as well as provide premium real estate for display advertisers. The original pilot, seen below, was richly engaging, letting power users and consumers do many things at one time. Users could vote instantly, see photos of currently playing artists, jump to libraries, reskin, and hear witty banter from the host.

Creating The Show: Top 11, in it's first year, was both challenging and groundbreaking for the company's music programming. Keeping things alive on the service was a major hurdle.

As a result, I was involved in hiring a separate team to support the show's production, interstitials, host taping, and script creation.
